How to grow weed vertically

How to grow weed vertically

Cannabis cultivation can be tricky at the best of times, but what if I told you there was a whole other way to do it? Vertical cannabis cultivation is an innovative idea that’s been around for quite a while now, and it involves farming from floor-to-ceiling as opposed to wall-to-wall.  There are plenty of advantages to this bizarre growing method, which is exactly what I’m going to be explaining today:

Growing Weed Vertically

One of the obvious benefits of this farming method is that it has the ability to increase space in a garden ten-fold (when compared to regular horizontal growing), meaning that you could potentially get way more bang for your buck if you choose to grow your weed this way. Essentially, if you have more space, then you have extra room for extra plants – which means extra weed (and extra cash!)

The simplest way to make use of this method is to stack your weed on shelves, though you can use trellises too. You will also need to have a central light source to arrange your plants around. Funnily enough, having one central light source could actually save you a pretty penny on your energy bills, so if profit is your game, why haven’t you started already?!

Keep In Mind

Please do keep in mind that you will need to keep your light source from getting too hot. The simplest way to do this is to use energy-efficient LED lights, as well as making sure to have a cooling fan in your grow room (preferably underneath the light source.)

Some Helpful Advice

If you’re already an experienced grower then you’ll know that Sativa variety tends to grow tall, while indica strains usually grow to a much smaller height. This means that if you want to start growing weed vertically then your best bet is definitely to use an indica-heavy strain, or a hybrid.

Also, the best advice I can give you – especially if you’re a beginner – is to start small. It isn’t a race, and there are no prizes for an overzealous grower. Instead, start with two tiers to keep things cheap, effective and easy – not to mention much safer.
